Cuñas Davia

Cuñas Davia

Cuñas Davia is a family project created to reclaim Cuñas as one of the great historic terroirs of Ribeiro. Through our wines, we defend its quality, its character, and the prestige this area has held for centuries.

The origins of the project lie with my father, Antonio García Carrasco, who throughout his life combined his work at the courthouse with a constant dedication to the vineyards. From my grandfather he inherited the basic principles of biodynamics, understood as the relationship between cultivation, wine, and natural cycles, as well as a deep respect for environmental sustainability. With this foundation, he established Cuñas Davia in April 2004. From the very beginning, my sister María and I have accompanied him on this journey.

María, who holds a degree in Law and works as a lawyer, in addition to advising the company, brings her creative vision to the design of our corporate image—one of the elements that best defines the personality of the project.

I am Alberto, an Industrial Engineer. In 2009, I decided to leave my profession to dedicate myself fully to managing the winery. With the support of a top-level technical team, made up of César Alonso and Eliseo Méndez, I work to achieve the fullest expression in each of our Cuñas Davia wines and to promote them through a constantly growing commercial network that has already expanded beyond our borders.

Wines We Produce

Cuñas Branco sobre lías

Tasty and broad on the palate, with good fruity persistence (citrus) and just the right acidity that brings freshness.
Long, creamy, and well-balanced finish.

A Xiada

Made from selected grapes from our best parcels, which in 2017, after an extraordinary frost, produced the first vintage of this wine during the second budbreak.

Since then, it has been made using carbonic snow maceration in an attempt to relive that moment.

Cuñas Davia Branco Barrica

Complex and elegant. On the nose it is fruity, with notes of stone fruit, ripe pineapple, and baked apple.

Cuñas Davia Tinto

Fresh on the nose with good aromatic intensity. Wild red fruits and forest berries dominate—cherries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries—along with subtle aromas of cocoa, soft toasted notes, and roasted nuts that reveal its time in oak.

Paxareiras

Paxareiras 2022 is a limited edition of 371 bottles, sealed and hand-painted, made from the finest Caíño Longo and Sousón grapes from our Paxareiras estate vineyard. Aged for 24 months in oak barrels and at least a further 12 months in bottle.
