
Diego Doniz – Tear dos Dodi
D. Silverio Diéguez Armada began producing his own wines from his own vineyards around 1950, with the dedication, experience, and values instilled by his father, Evencio, improving processes both in the vineyard and in the winery, within the limits allowed at the time. Part of the wine he produced was for family consumption, selling the rest to local wine merchants who came in search of distinctive wines.
In 2004, in order to adapt to sector regulations, a major renovation was carried out in both the facilities and the vineyards. My grandfather Silverio passed the torch to my mother Amalia, always respecting the traditions of the past while incorporating the most modern techniques. Equipment, winemaking methods, and wine storage systems were updated through the use of stainless steel tanks, allowing us greater control over the production process and clearer differentiation of our wines.
Today, the winery farms 1.5 hectares of vineyards divided into 60 small plots spread across the municipalities of A Arnoia and Castrelo de Miño. These parcels are located in different areas and elevations, enabling separate vinification by plot and all are worked by hand.
